Metallic epoxy floors with depth and shine.

Give a room a distinctive floor with flowing metallic tones. Start with the atmosphere you want, then consider lighting, traffic, and the condition of the concrete beneath it.

Think about the whole room

Bring photographs of the space, wall and cabinet colors, and a few floor references you like. Point out what appeals to you: a quiet tonal finish, strong contrast, broad movement, or a brighter reflective appearance.

Metallic pigments can create a sense of depth and a pearlescent effect. The appearance of a sample changes with viewing angle and light, so look at it where the floor will be used.

A sample sets the direction

Use samples to agree on the palette, level of contrast, and general character. Treat a reference photograph as a design direction rather than an exact pattern to reproduce across a different room.

The proposed system should account for traffic, sunlight, texture, and cleaning. A high-gloss appearance is one design choice; discuss whether it fits the way you use the space.

Preparation is part of the finish

Share the floor’s current condition, any existing coating, and known moisture concerns. Ask which preparation and repairs are included, where the coating stops, and how transitions to adjacent flooring will be handled.

  • Room dimensions and photographs in normal lighting
  • A preferred palette and examples of the movement you like
  • Furniture, fixtures, and transitions to keep in place
  • Your intended use, cleaning routine, and scheduling needs

Metallic or flake?

Choose metallic when flowing visual movement is central to the design. Compare flake when you prefer a distributed chip pattern, or solid color for a simpler appearance. These describe the look; system suitability still needs to be assessed.
